Angelo State women wrap up play at Thanksgiving Classic
The Angelo State University women's basketball team finished play at the ASU Thanksgiving Classic with a 76-63 loss against Arkansas Tech Saturday night at the Junell Center.
The Belles dropped to 0-6 under first-year head coach Alesha Davis. They opened their home invitational with an 83-75 loss against Harding on Friday.
ASU sophomore guard Sawyer Lloyd, the Belles' floor leader, is currently sidelined with a shoulder injury. She's a local product from Wall High School.
Blakely Gerber (23), Payton Brown (16) and Tayjanna McGhee-Pleasant (15) scored in double digits against Harding.
In Saturday's game against Arkansas Tech, Gerber had a team-high 17 points and Brown had 10.
ASU travels to Laredo on Thursday to face Texas A&M International.
The Belles return home on Monday, Dec. 13 against St Mary's.
