Earlier this year, Angus Cloud was reportedly being sought by Los Angeles authorities in relation to a hit-and-run incident in the city.

TMZ first reported that Cloud and another male were driving an SUV that rear-ended a Toyota in Marina Del Rey before driving away without stopping.

The publication reports that at least one passenger in the Toyota allegedly suffered injuries to her legs and arms.

Law enforcement sources reportedly told TMZ that “while the Euphoria star is not officially a suspect in the case, his name has been floated for possible involvement,” and they would like to make contact with him.

How Angus Cloud narrowly avoided death in 2013

09:00 , Peony Hirwani

Angus Cloud narrowly avoided death in 2013 after falling into a construction pit.

The late Euphoria star suffered a brain injury during the incident. He was approximately 14 years old at the time.

Cloud was left with slowed speech following the incident.

Last year, the late actor spoke to Variety about his accident, revealing that he peeled off from a group of friends who were walking through downtown Oakland, where he grew up. Alone and in the dark, he didn’t notice the construction pit in front of him until he was already falling.

“I woke up 12 hours later at the bottom,” he said. “I was trapped. I eventually climbed out after – I don’t know how long. It was hella hard to climb out, because my skull was broken, but my skin wasn’t, so all the bleeding was internal, pressing up against my brain. But they wasn’t gonna find me down there. I found myself. Or God found me, whatever you want to call it.”

Cloud said that he took the bus to his mother’s house after making it out of the pit where he “started throwing up hella mouthfuls of crimson red blood. Shit was crazy. So then my mama took me to the children’s hospital, and they saved my life.

“They cut my head open, they put some screws and a plate over where I broke my skull and – shit, sealed me back up, and that was that.”

According to a 2019 interview with GQ, Cloud had no aspirations to become an actor.

He used to work at a chicken and waffle joint, according to the magazine, and one day was unexpectedly stopped by casting scout Eléonore Hendricks.

“I was confused and I didn’t want to give her my phone number,” Cloud told the magazine. “I thought it was a scam.”

Then casting director Jennifer Venditti met with him and series creator Sam Levinson eventually made him a co-star in Euphoria alongside Zendaya for its first two seasons.
