Anheuser-Busch to donate 42,000 cans of drinking water to 18 Georgia volunteer fire departments

This summer, Anheuser-Busch will team with the National Volunteer Fire Department Council (NVFC) and its wholesale partners to donate over 42,000 cans of emergency drinking water to volunteer fire departments around Georgia.

The water will help volunteer firefighters to help prepare for and respond in times of crisis.

Firefighters rely on clean drinking water to stay hydrated in times of need, but volunteer fire departments often lack the funding to stock their supplies.

“Access to clean drinking water is essential for firefighters to operate at their best while battling wildfires or other emergencies in the summer heat,” said Curt Pechloff, Chief of the Northwest Harris Volunteer Fire Department. “We’re grateful for the dedication of our community partners Anheuser-Busch, the NVFC, and the numerous wholesalers who have delivered over 40,000 cans of water to 18 fire and rescue departments across Georgia to support our mission to serve and protect.”

Georgia volunteer fire departments including those in Buena Vista, Cross Creek, Cook County, Ideal, and Morgan County will receive the donations.

This is the fifth consecutive year that Anheuser-Busch and NVFC will donate drinking water to volunteer fire departments around the country.

This year they’ll expand their reach to provide 2.5 million cans to over 600 volunteer fire departments across 48 states.
