Several videos have surfaced in social media showing rescue workers not only aiding people, but also assisting in saving the lives of animals who have fallen victim to the brutality of the Russian military.

One incident involved police rescuing a dog from the water.

In the village of Antonivka, rescuers managed to save a deer.

Some farm animals are finding ways to save themselves from the flooding.

However, there are also those who do not require rescue.

Animal rights activists have reminded people of the guidelines for evacuating animals and have explained how to properly act in case it is not possible for evacuees to take their pets with them.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine has also urged evacuating individuals not to leave animals chained up or in cages.

In addition, the organization UAnimals has launched the “Shelter with Animals” flash mob, calling on anyone with the means to provide temporary shelter to displaced individuals and their pets to come forward and help.
