Animals From Chicago's Shedd Aquarium Visit Conservatory for Earth Day

Macaws and a green python from Chicago’s Shedd Aquarium enjoyed a field trip to Garfield Park Conservatory in celebration of Earth Day on April 22.

Footage shows two green-winged macaws, Poblano and Serrano, stretching their wings while surrounded by flowers at the conservatory. The macaws enjoyed the warm humidity, which resembles the birds’ native environment in the Amazon, according to Shedd Aquarium. Ivy, a green tree python, is seen in the footage exploring a tree in an exhibit.

Shedd Aquarium said the trip provided “great exercise” for the animals, as well as sensory enrichment and variety. Credit: Shedd Aquarium via Storyful
