Animals Participate in 'Olympic' Events at Maryland Zoo
An assortment of animals demonstrated their Olympic-inspired moves at the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore.
“It’s time for our animal athletes to show off their Olympics training!” wrote the zoo on July 29. “Today we’re highlighting the gymnastics and track & field events. Help us cheer on the competitors as they each give a gold medal performance!”
This video, which a representative of the zoo said was filmed on July 7, shows a military macaw walking along a “balance beam,” a green-winged macaw performing on the “uneven bars,” as well as a Von der Decken’s hornbill and an armadillo participating in “track and field” events.
