During the Crunchyroll Industry Panel at Anime Expo 2023 on Monday, anime fans received a first look at a slew of new show trailers and upcoming announcements.

New trailers: A-1 Pictures unveiled a trailer for “Solo Leveling” and revealed a winter release. There was also the premiere trailer for “A Returner's Magic Should Be Special,” slated for release in October.

Solo Leveling” is based on the 2016 Korean comic series of the same name created by Chugong and illustrated by Dubu. In a departure from its Korean source material, the Japanese adaptation of "Solo Leveling" takes place in the vibrant city of Tokyo instead of Seoul. The series follows Shun Mizushino, a Japanese protagonist who gains a rare ability to level up in power as he hunts down monsters threatening to harm humans.

“A Returner's Magic Should Be Special” is also based on a Korean web novel from 2016. It was written by Usonan and illustrated by Wookjakga. The series centers around Desir Herman, a remaining survivor of the end of the world, who is flung back in time to his enrollment at a magical academy.

These announcements are a follow up from Crunchyroll’s panel on July 2 with animation studio Mappa, where they revealed a new trailer for “Attack on Titan Final Season The Final Chapters Special 2.”
