Ann Romney Joins Pinterest

Ann Romney has joined the social-media website Pinterest, just hours after a left-leaning group made fun of her husband Mitt Romney's campaign by using the site.

Her page on Pinterest includes family photos, campaign photos, recipes, and patriotic scenes. The former governor's presidential campaign is the first to use the new site, which resembles an online bulletin board and has experienced explosive growth in recent weeks.

Late Monday, the liberal-leaning political group Think Progress looked into Mitt Romney’s January campaign finance reports and tracked the hotels expensed to the campaign. Let’s just say the Romney camp knows how to pick 'em.

Using Pinterest, Think Progress rooted out some of the fanciest hotels. Among them was the Mountain View Grand Resort & Spa in New Hampshire, a resort known for its “winter mountain activities, as well as its incredible in-house spa and fine dining.” There was also the Resort At Pelican Hill near Newport Beach, Calif., honored as the No. 1 resort in the U.S. by Condè Nast Traveler.

These entries, of course, are not indicative of every travel entry in the FEC report. There are entries for a few Clarion Hotels in Sioux City, Iowa, and countless Holiday Inns across the country.
