Annie Wu gives birth to second baby
10 Jun – Taiwanese actress Annie Wu has recently announced the birth of her second child.
As reported on Mingpao, the 40-year-old "Police Story 4" star shared the good news on social media with a photo of her newborn, sharing that she was happy to be able to give birth to her son naturally after welcoming her daughter previously through C-section.
"There are a lot of benefits in giving birth naturally, including the fact your body recovers quickly," she said.
Annie revealed that it took only six minutes for her to give birth to her son, and the nurse immediately put her baby on her chest so that they can have their first mother to son contact.
"Thank you so much to the doctors and nurses. It's your professionalism that made the delivery process a smooth one. My baby and I are also very healthy," she said.
She also assured other mothers that they too are able to give birth naturally despite having done Caesarean section in the past.
"As long as you work hard to control your diet during pregnancy and live an active life, it is possible to give birth naturally. Also, find a doctor who believes in you and is right for you," she added.
Annie is married to aristocrat Aaron Liao in 2012 and has been living in Beijing ever since. She gave birth to daughter Mia in 2014.
