Anniston's Jones loses to Cook in Supreme Court race

May 25—Greg Cook defeated Debra Jones of Anniston in Tuesday's state Supreme Court race.

Cook had 280,609 (54.3 percent) to 234,973 (45.6 percent) for Jones with 66 of Alabama's 67 counties reporting, according to the Secretary of State's office.

Jones has served two terms as Circuit Court judge in Calhoun and Cleburne counties.

She also ran for the Supreme Court in 2018.
