They are lifelong members of the Smithville United Methodist Church and Harry is retired from the Timken Company, Smithville Volunteer Fire Department, Boy Scout and Explorer Troop 73, Smithville Village Council and Wayne County Crippled Children.

Both enjoy birdwatching, grandchildren, family gatherings, cooking chicken with the neighbors, reading books and watching the Cleveland Guardians. Charlie turns 93 in December and Ginny turned 90 in March.

Wish them a happy anniversary via a phone call, card or visit. They still live on Summit Street in Smithville, their home for almost 60 years.
