Announcing PopSockets x Teen Vogue, a New Collaboration to Support March For Our Lives

The fact that more mass shootings happened in 2018 than you can probably remember says a lot about gun violence in America. For many people, and especially many young people, gun violence isn’t just an extraordinary event; it’s reality, and one that is wholly preventable — yet our lawmakers are slow to introduce new legislation that could do just that. Instead, students and other young activists are making their voices heard, so that no one else will have to endure what they have.

In February of this year, a former student shot and killed 17 people at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. In response, students from Parkland mobilized to form March For Our Lives, an organization that funds gun violence research, and proves young people do have the power to create real change. We’ve talked to the young activists following in the footsteps of Black Lives Matter activists and other gun-control advocates before them. We’ve featured them on the cover of our magazine. And now, Teen Vogue is proud to announce a new partnership with PopSockets with proceeds that will go directly to March For Our Lives.

Introducing the new line of Poptivism grips, available exclusively through Popsockets.com. The two designs are exclusive to our collab, and help you put philanthropy in your hands and show off your support to end gun violence. It’s the same extendible phone attachment you love, with an added bonus of giving back. (This isn’t the first time PopSockets is paying it forward, either: Through their DoGoods program, the brand has made contributions to charities and nonprofits such as the Davis Phinney Foundation for Parkinson’s, the Arthritis Foundation, and the ALS Association.)

PopSockets x Teen Vogue’s designs are available now; model and advocate Cax, activist Amina Hassan, and writer, curator, and activist Kimberly Drew are already rocking theirs. 50% of all sales will go directly March For Our Lives, which you can purchase on Popsockets.com.
