Vogue Global Conversations Are Launching This Week—Sign Up Now!

No industry is immune to the repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic. Over the past two months, the fashion world has reacted to the spread of the virus and its global shutdowns with creativity, community, and ingenuity. Businesses are donating to COVID-19 causes, and designers are repurposing to produce personal protective equipment for hospitals and fabric masks for civilians. To speak to the industry’s efforts, as well as what’s in store for the future of fashion, next week, Vogue is launching its first-ever global conversation series in collaboration with the Vogue Global Network and Vogue Runway.

“We are all united in facing the same questions and challenges,” says Anna Wintour, editor in chief of Vogue U.S. and U.S. artistic director and global content advisor of Condé Nast. “These conversations are a chance for us to come together, connect, and remind ourselves that we are a global community. I’m looking forward to being informed and inspired by this week’s conversations.”

The four days of conversations will be held on Zoom and will feature discussions between Vogue editors, designers, and fashion-industry executives. It will span a wide range of topics affecting the fashion industry, from the impact self-isolation has on creativity and design, to the future of brick-and-mortar retail and e-commerce. The panels will be moderated by an international team of Vogue editors including Edward Enninful, the editor in chief of British Vogue; Eugenia de la Torriente, editor in chief of Vogue España; Angelica Cheung, the editor in chief of Vogue China; Emanuele Farneti, the editor in chief of Vogue Italia and L’Uomo Vogue; and Nicole Phelps, the director of Vogue Runway.

Guests who will be participating in the panels include Marc Jacobs; Kenneth Ize; Stella McCartney; Gabriela Hearst; Olivier Rousteing, Balmain; Cédric Charbit, Balenciaga; Natacha Ramsay-Levi, Chloé; Virgil Abloh, Louis Vuitton Men’s artistic director and founder of Off-White; Stephanie Phair, Farfetch and British Fashion Council; Remo Ruffini, Moncler; Vittorio Radice, La Rinascente; Pete Nordstrom, Nordstrom; and Pierre-Yves Roussel, Tory Burch.

The discussion series will air on Zoom daily from April 14 to April 17 at 9 a.m. EST (New York), 2 p.m. BST (London), 3 p.m. CEST (Paris and Milan), and 9 p.m. CST (Beijing and Shanghai). We will be recapping the highlights of each discussion daily on Vogue’s global websites.
