- Well, nearly 1,000 runners from all over the country competed in the 40th annual Seven Mile Bridge Run today. This year, officials took coronavirus-related precautions, staggering the runners' starts in socially distanced groups of 10. Participants also were required to wear masks before beginning the race and after they finished.

Small electronic chips were also embedded in each runners' race number placard to help determine start and finish times. And because of the staggered start, it's going to take several days to determine those winners.
