Another Chick-fil-A is coming to Woodbridge

WOODBRIDGE – Goodbye Pizza Hut, hello Chick-fil-A.

The township Planning Board recently approved plans for another Chick-fil-A, on the Pizza Hut property located at 306-322 Route 9 northbound.

The restaurant will be the third Chick-fil-A in Woodbridge. The others are located on the upper level of Woodbridge Center Mall near Boscov's and at 1040 Route 1 northbound at the intersection with St. Georges Avenue.

A resolution was adopted Dec. 15 granting Woodbridge UE LLC preliminary and final site plan approval with variances to demolish the existing 3,667-square-foot Pizza Hut at 320 Route 9 northbound.

The Pizza Hut is located on a 17.89-acre site that fronts on both Route 9 and Route 184 with access from both highways. A Walmart and several other retailers are located in the shopping center on the site, located in a B-3 Highway Business Zone which permits drive-thru restaurants.
