Another crash at the Highway 86 crossing where five people died weeks ago
Three people were injured on Sunday, one seriously, after a two-vehicle collision in Oasis at the intersection of State Route 86 and 81st Avenue, officials said.
The crash was reported at 11:49 a.m., and Riverside County firefighters responded, extricating one driver with serious injuries and two with moderate injuries, all transported to area hospitals.
Five people, including two young children, were killed at the same intersection two weeks ago, when the car they were driving in crashed into a semi near the Salton Sea.
