Another low-cost carrier set to expand its flight offerings at Pittsburgh International Airport

Another ultra-low-cost carrier servicing seasonal flights to and from Pittsburgh International Airport announced it will be expanding that offering when it brings it back next spring.

Starting on May 18, 2023, Sun Country Airlines will offer four flights per week on Sundays, Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays between its headquartered city of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Pittsburgh. That’s double the twice-weekly flight offerings it had this past summer between the two cities. The seasonal service will last through late August.

Sun Country’s expansion at PIT comes as part of a larger rollout that will see the airline touchdown in 15 new markets by summer 2023. It also follows the news that Breeze Airways, another ULCC, will expand its flight offerings at PIT next year.
