●        Russia launches massive missile attack on Kyiv, ten injured, two killed
Ukrainian air defense shot down 20 missiles over Kyiv and the surrounding oblast during a massive early morning attack, the Kyiv City Military Administration reported on Feb. 7.

●     Poland scrambles fighter jets as Russian missile flies within 50 km of NATO border before turning
Russia sent at least one missile to within 50 km of the NATO border, forcing Poland to scramble its air force early on Feb. 7, the Ukrainian Air Force reported on Telegram.

●     Ukrainian forces damage one-third of Russian Black Sea Fleet
Around one-third of the Russian Black Sea Fleet warships have been destroyed or damaged by Kyiv since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, the Ukrainian military’s Centre for Strategic Communications (StratCom), reported on Telegram on Feb. 6.

●     Situation in Avdiivka 'near critical' — OSINT analyst interview
Roman Pohorilyi, co-founder and analyst of the DeepState military open-source intelligence (OSINT) monitoring project, spoke in an interview with NV Radio on Feb. 5 about the situation in Avdiivka, Donetsk Oblast, where Russian troops have been advancing in recent weeks.

Hidden cameras installed in hotel rooms during a New Year's corporate event were likely planted by the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) to spy on Bihus.Info journalists, Bihus.Info reported on Feb. 5.

●     Ukraine will destroy Crimean Bridge by end of 2024 — Navy
The Russian-built bridge will be destroyed by the end of 2024, Ukrainian Navy Commander, Vice Admiral Oleksiy Neizhpapa, said in an interview with Dmytro Gordon on Feb. 5.

●     Bank branches near the front: are they worth the risk?
Having initially fled from the war, Ukrainians are gradually coming back. We need to ensure they have access to banking services even near the front line.

●     EU’s Borrell visits Kyiv amid Ukraine crisis, pledges support
Josep Borrell, the European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, arrived in Kyiv, MP Oleksiy Honcharenko from the European Solidarity party said on Telegram on Feb. 6.

●     U.S. decision on Senate deal that includes Ukraine aid expected within 72 hours — Ambassador
The next three days will show whether the U.S. Senate will vote on a new package of financial aid to Ukraine along with tougher U.S. migration policy, Ukraine’s Ambassador to the U.S., Oksana Markarova, said on the national telethon.    

●     Trump blasts bipartisan border security bill with $60 billion for Ukraine, calling it ‘death wish’
Former U.S. President Donald Trump slammed a bipartisan border security bill introduced by senators, which includes $60 billion for national security in Ukraine, labeling it a “death wish” for the GOP, as reported by The Hill on Feb. 5.
