Another Starbucks is setting up shop in the Rockford area
A new Starbucks is coming to Machesney Park later this year.
The Seattle-based coffeehouse chain is building a shop at 8610 N. Second St. next to Burger King.
The Village of Machesney Park announced the new location Tuesday on social media.
"Have you been curious about the construction work taking place in front of the Machesney Town Center? It's a new place to grab your morning cup of joe (or afternoon pick-me-up)!" the city posted on Facebook.
"A new Starbucks location is coming soon next to Burger King. The freestanding 2,500-square-foot location will feature a drive-thru and dining room. This is the first construction project for the Town Center outlot properties in 20 years!"
Starbucks also operates stores at 1377 West Lane Road and 9833 N. Alpine Road, both in Machesney Park, and 1521 E. Riverside Blvd., in Loves Park.
