Ant and Dec: Piers Morgan should do 'I'm A Celebrity' as he's out of a job

Ant and Dec have joked that Piers Morgan should go on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! because he needs a job.

The presenters quipped that Morgan should sign up for the next series of the ITV reality show as he is not working since quitting Good Morning Britain over the Meghan Markle row.

The cheeky duo were being interviewed on ITV’s Lorraine when host Lorraine Kelly asked if Morgan was still on their wish list of campers.

Ant teased: “He's not working at the moment so you know, he'll be looking for a job..."

The pair also discussed where the 2021 series might be held amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, admitting it’s “up in the air” right now.

The programme used to be based in the Australian jungle but relocated to a castle in Wales last year because of the COVID situation.

And Dec said they still aren’t sure whether it will be cleared to return Down Under this year.

He told Kelly: “We are having conversations, well we are not, but people are having conversations with Australia to see if they'll let us in and see if that’s going to work.

“But if not, we've got a lovely alternative to go back to Wales - we had a great time there.

“We had a really lovely series and the people of North Wales made us feel very very welcome so we'd gladly go back there."

"But we'll see whether it's Oz or Wales, we're not quite sure yet," he added.

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here usually airs on ITV in December.
