Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania star Kathryn Newton has revealed it would be "so cool" for her character Cassie Lang to be part of the Young Avengers.

While speaking to The Hollywood Reporter about her new movie Lisa Frankenstein, the actress was asked about the final scene in The Marvels which saw Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani) tease that she was putting out a feeler to Cassie to be a member of the upcoming Young Avengers.

"I heard through the Quantum Realm birdies. I heard that there was a cool tag, and I was pretty excited to see that and hear that," Newton said of her character's mention in The Marvels.

The actress went on to add that while Marvel "don't really tell you" about your character's future she would "jump" at the opportunity to play Cassie again.

"In the Marvel universe, you hope for that. You hope to be," she said, adding that her "hope for Cassie Lang" was to grow with an audience.

Newton continued: "So if I get an opportunity to continue the story, then that would be so cool to be a part of a generation that's growing up with a film.

"But they don't really tell you. They tell you an overall, but I don't take anything for granted. I am just trying to get through the day. Let's finish one movie and then let's continue. But I would very much also jump at the opportunity to work with Marvel Studios again."
