Anthropologie’s Spring 2020 Collection Will Get You Through Winter

If there’s one thing that’s going to get us through the cold, gray days of February, it’s a new spring collection. Take Anthropologie’s spring 2020 home collection: It has us feeling like a warm ray of sunshine is beaming down upon us. Featuring more than 1,700 new products, the line shows how the brand is reframing classic pieces with bold uses of texture, special techniques, and color—so much color. With a lot of West Coast vibes and a thoughtful palette of indigo, coral, chartreuse, and palm, the range of pillows to candles to chairs has us launched into springtime feelings. The collection launched January 27, and the catalog comes out on Valentine's Day. See some of our favorite pieces below.

The from rich gem tones to soft pastels, the range of lush, textured pieces is far and wide.

Dramatic textural dimension

From honeycomb weaves to statement-making fabrics like chenille and bouclé, so many of the new pieces in the collection transform standard sofas and chairs to high-impact designs with serious coziness and sophistication.

These armchairs are inspired by the sustainable techniques used to craft chindi rugs, meaning this chair’s upholstery is handwoven with recycled cotton fabrics.
Luxurious velvet meets natural colors. These pillows are hand-dyed with natural colors extracted from flower petals, plants, and roots.

One-of-a-kind appeal

In the special-techniques category, many of the spring items use ancient practices like flower dying, chindi (handweaving recycled cotton fabrics into unique home items), and hand-carving (some pieces use reclaimed wood from recovered fallen and hurricane-tumbled trees). The variety of methods give the furnishings a handcrafted feel.

Breakfast just got so much more enjoyable with these painterly dining chairs.
If you’re dying to get into the beautiful glassware trend, here’s an easy entry point. We also think any of these vases would be great as gifts.

So much color

Anthropologie’s love of color is carried through in the collection, particularly with the strong West Coast vibe in the palette. The exclusive capsule collection from artist Claire Desjardins captures the bright mood perfectly, too.

The classiness of the black marble balances well with the reclaimed oak wood and thin cast iron legs of this coffee table.
The new collection has so much good wall art to zhuzh up any room in your home.

Balanced black and white

What’s black and white and bold all over? How about a slew of rugs, seating, and art in the spring collection. We love how Anthro expresses color, but also gives those who aren’t into the vibrating hues some options that still feel fresh and exciting.
