Anti-Abortion Activists Paint 'Baby Lives Matter' Outside Charlotte Planned Parenthood

A mural reading ‘Baby Lives Matter’ in pink and blue lettering was painted on the road in front of a Planned Parenthood location in Charlotte, North Carolina, overnight on August 26, according to reports.

Local newspaper Queen City Nerve shared this video of the message painted on Torrence Street outside a Planned Parenthood located in the historic Cherry neighborhood of Charlotte. According to the Queen City Nerve, a similar message was painted at A Preferred Women’s Health Center on Latrobe Drive in east Charlotte.

Anti-abortion activist Tayler Hansen took credit for the mural outside Planned Parenthood, which was quickly vandalized by counter-protesters to read ‘Your body, your choice’ and ‘BLM.’

A GoFundMe page raising money for the ‘Baby Lives Matter’ murals had accrued more than $17,000 by August 27.

A spokesperson with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department says officers responded to the area due to a report regarding vandalism in the street. CMPD says the incident is being investigated, according to local media reports. Credit: Queen City Nerve via Storyful
