BUCYRUS — The Crawford Farm Machinery Show pulled in a crowd Friday evening at the Crawford County Fairgrounds.

"We just bring our tractors in and display them, people come out and they look at them," said Roger Haas, a trustee of the Crawford Antique Farm Machinery Association, which organizes the event.

Friday's main events were the antique tractor pull and purse bingo.

"It's mainly your farming community that respond to it," Haas said. "These are tractors us older guys grew up on. I've got a tractor that my dad brought in 1952 and I restored it. It's just kind of like a club. We're all in a club."

A wide assortment of older tractors was on display for public viewing, such as a 1957 red Farmall 450, 1939 red Farmall F14, 1948 Silver King, 1952 orange Minneapolis-Moline U and a 1944 pink McCormick Farmall H.

Haas had two tractors on display, a 1951 John Deere B and the 1952 Farmall Super C.

"Our featured tractor this year is the White Corp, which consists of the Minneapolis-Moline, Oliver and Cockshutt tractors," he said.

"Last count, I had 81 tractors here," Haas said.

The majority of the tractors competing in the antique pull were Allis-Chalmers, John Deere and Massey Harris models.
