More than 50 cosplayers dressed as Anya from “Spy x Family” were filmed walking around Tokyo following the release of the hit anime’s latest episode.
On Saturday, pink-haired fans took to the streets of Japan’s capital. A video shared on Sunday by Twitter user @NezukoSocial, which has garnered over 343,000 views and 25,000 likes as of this writing, shows a few seconds of what one of the city streets looked like that night with a swarm of Anyas.

While netizens might find the viral video confusing, a reply to @NezukoSocial’s tweet hints that the cosplayers possibly attended a collaboration event between Darlin and Darlin Idol, two host clubs in Tokyo.

Other videos and their comment sections reportedly reveal that the cosplayers helped to clean up the streets by picking up pieces of trash strewn around. The reasoning behind the cosplayers’ decision to dress up as Anya, however, is still unclear.
