People grieved in Sri Lanka after suicide attacks that struck worshippers in churches on Easter Sunday and guests eating breakfast at luxury hotels in the capital. Some survivors, bandages covering their healing wounds, mourned over mass graves as their loved ones were buried.

In other images from the Asia-Pacific region this week, an earthquake in the northern Philippines collapsed a supermarket, trapping several people in the rubble. Nine survivors were pulled from the rubble after the quake, which killed at least 17 people in the region.

A court in Hong Kong sentenced eight leaders of the 2014 pro-democracy protests to up to 16 months in prison for public nuisance offenses.

China conducted a fleet review marking the 70th anniversary of the People's Liberation Army Navy.
