House Democrats prosecuting Donald Trump's impeachment trial say he fired up his supporters with lies about a stolen election. They also pushed back at defense team arguments that Trump's words were protected by the First Amendment.

An Associated Press-NORC poll finds that about 1 in 3 Americans say they definitely or probably won't get the COVID-19 vaccine. The resistance runs higher among young people, those without college degrees, Black Americans, and Republicans.

President Joe Biden is ordering new sanctions against the military regime in Myanmar after the military staged a coup in the Southeast Asian country. Large crowds demonstrating against the military takeover took to the streets in Myanmar earlier Wednesday.

The Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers celebrated their victory with a boat parade on the Hillsborough River near downtown Tampa. Mayor Jane Castor again emphasized that people attending the parade must wear masks outdoors and observe social distancing rules.
