Donald Trump's historic second impeachment trial opened in the Senate Tuesday with a debate over whether it's constitutional to prosecute a president who is no longer in office. Meanwhile, Democratic Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said the trial will not delay work to pass President Biden's COVID relief plan.
Iranian president Hassan Rouhani reiterated Tuesday the US must take the first steps to honor the international nuclear deal. President Biden has said the US will not make the first move. Israel's prime minister said Tuesday that Golan Heights will remain under Israeli sovereignty. The comments came a day after the US expressed reservations about Israeli control over the territory.
