- This is AP News Minute. The US House is set late Monday to bring the impeachment article against Donald Trump to the Senate for trial. But a growing number of Republican senators say they oppose the proceedings against the former president.

President Joe Biden has signed an executive order revoking a Trump-imposed Pentagon policy that largely barred transgender individuals from joining the military. Biden also signed an executive order to boost the economy by increasing government buying from US manufacturers.

California is lifting regional stay-at-home orders statewide in response to improving coronaviruses conditions. The change will allow businesses such as restaurants to resume outdoor operations in many areas, although local officials could choose to continue stricter rules.

Dogs are back at the White House for the first time since the Obama administration. President Biden's two German shepherds, Champ and Major, were spotted playing on the White House lawn and could be heard barking during at Oval Office event.
