KELLY DASCHLE: This is "AP News Minute." President Donald Trump visited the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery Wednesday, emerging in public for the first time since his failed re-election bid. Trump honored veterans in a ceremony held during a steady rain. He spent the last several days holed up at the White House refusing to concede, while tweeting baseless claims of voter fraud.

President-elect Joe Biden also remembered the nation's fallen soldiers during a wreath-laying ceremony at the Korean War Memorial in Philadelphia. Following the tribute, Biden returned to private transition planning, preparing to become America's next commander-in-chief.

Georgia will conduct a hand recount of its presidential election ballots because the margin is so tight. Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger said at a news conference his office wants the process to begin by the end of the week and expects it to take until November 20.

A Spanish humanitarian group says five people have died and 111 were rescued after a Europe-bound rubber boat carrying migrants and asylum-seekers fell apart in the central Mediterranean Sea.
