US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has arrived in Saudi Arabia in what is likely his final official tour of the Persian Gulf. He's touted the Trump administration's Mideast strategy, focusing on Iran as the region's central threat.

South Korean officials announced stricter social distancing rules in the greater Seoul area to fight a coronavirus resurgence as the country registered more than 300 new cases for the fifth straight day.

Iraqi University students demonstrated in Baghdad on Sunday, demanding justice for more than 500 people who were killed during a months long anti-government protest movement that began in October of 2019.

And in Belgium, Brussels has decorated its Christmas tree. It took nine hours to adorn the five-ton tree with about one kilometer of Christmas tinsel and 250 flower-shaped lights that symbolize revival.
