Apartment building damaged by fire in Cumberland County

SILVER SPRING TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WHTM) — A fire damaged an apartment building in Cumberland County on Friday afternoon.

According to Silver Spring Fire Community Company, crews were called around 4:30 p.m. to the 6600 block of Carlisle Pike in Silver Spring Township for an apartment building fire. Smoke was showing from a 4-unit apartment building when crews arrived.

WHTM Morning Weather

The fire department said that a total of 1,500 gallons of water was used during the fire. The fire chief stated that the cause of the fire was electrical in nature.

No one was injured in the fire, however, six people were displaced, which is according to the fire chief.
