A new apartment complex is coming to North Myrtle Beach, SC. Here are the details

North Myrtle Beach is getting a new apartment complex.

The Parkway Apartments is a new development at 10600 Highway 90 on the corner of Robert Edge Parkway.

The complex will have 360 units— 144 one-bedroom apartments, 144 two-bedroom apartments and 72 three-bedroom apartments— according to North Myrtle Beach Public Information Officer Lauren Eckersley.

The new community will also have three playgrounds, two pools, 482 parking spaces and garages, and work has already started on the project.

Parkway Apartments did not return a request for comment. The land itself is owned by Brown Ernest Lawson Jr. ETAL C/O Vernon Law Firm, according to Horry County Land Records.

The group bought the 20.3-acre property in May 2021 for $1.9 million, a discount as the land sold for $2.3 million less than a year before, according to Horry County Land Records.

Lawson Jr., a Burlington, NC. attorney and shareholder of the law firm Vernon Law, who specializes in commercial real estate development and business transactions. Lawson Jr. did not return a request for comment.

The Parkway Apartments is just one development in the works in North Myrtle Beach. The Sun News reported in September 2023 that work had begun on a new luxury apartment complex with 123 units and several new storefronts called The Exchange at Sunset Grove.

One of the businesses confirmed to be located in The Exchange at Sunset Grove at 1799 Highway 17 is Touch MedSpa which offers Botox, laser treatments and other services.
