APD: Officers find suspect with bank bag after robbery at Amarillo National Bank
A man was arrested after a robbery took place Thursday afternoon at the Amarillo National Bank main branch.
The suspect was identified as Phillip Goss, 64. He was arrested and booked in the Potter County Detention Center on the robbery charge.
The Amarillo Police Department's Violent Crimes Unit is investigating this incident.
At about 4:13 p.m. Thursday, officers were sent to a bank robbery at the Amarillo National Bank main branch on SE 4th. According to a news release, a man came into the bank, handed the teller a note and left with an undisclosed amount of money. No weapon was seen.
Officers immediately began searching the area, and the suspect was located a few blocks away with the bank bag in his possession.
