APD: Woman killed in hit-and-run crash
Jul. 25—ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Albuquerque police said a woman was killed early Sunday morning when she was struck by a vehicle, which then drove away from the scene.
Gilbert Gallegos, a police spokesman, said that officers responded to a fatal crash on the 9000 block of Trumbull SE at about 1:20 a.m. A woman had been struck in a hit and run crash, and she died at the scene.
Police were not able to identify her at the site of the crash, Gallegos said.
He said witnesses told officers that possibly a white Chevrolet Impala had struck the woman, and then left driving west.
