'The Bachelor:' Meet the 30 ladies competing for Colton Underwood's heart and a rose

Will it be love at first sight for Colton Underwood?

The former NFL player, 26, is a cast-off from Becca Kufrin's season of "The Bachelorette" and also appeared on this summer's "Bachelor in Paradise." But maybe it just takes him being the leading man of ABC's reality show to find lasting love?

Although Twitter wasn't too pleased with Underwood's selection as the new "Bachelor," the 30 ladies vying for his heart on ABC's 23rd season are a different story.

From a dog walker to a self-proclaimed sloth and a woman that has never been kissed, the competition between contestants is surely going to make for good TV and hopefully a future wife for Underwood.

Underwood revealed on "The Bachelorette" that he is a virgin saving himself for the "right heart," a fact that has drawn some teasing from fellow contestants. Despite the jeers, he has stayed true to his beliefs and has made light of his status during a new promotional image for the series.

Underwood parodied Steve Carell in the 2005 film "40-Year-Old Virgin," sporting the same teal and orange plaid shirt from the movie's poster. In the bachelor's version, however, he is holding a rose.

The first rose, including the coveted first impression rose, will be given away Jan. 7 during a live three-hour long special.

In the season premiere, which includes several kisses, Underwood will address the backlash he's received from becoming the next "Bachelor" and well as his readiness find his soulmate (which no, is not Tia Booth from "Bachelor in Paradise"). Seven women will go home on night one.
