'Finger lickin' good' meets 'dangerously cheesy' in this KFC Cheetos sandwich
KFC is partnering with Cheetos to make a sandwich that you probably hadn't imagined previously.
The restaurant chain and "dangerously cheesy" snack are serving up a Cheetos Sandwich for four weeks at restaurants nationwide, starting today.
The product combines KFC's chicken filet and mayonnaise with a special Cheetos sauce and a “pinch of the thumb, index and middle fingers” layer of crunchy Cheetos, all on a toasted bun, according to a press release.
"For years, people have been creating their own versions of a Cheetos-fied sandwich at home, and now the fried chicken experts at KFC are launching the Cheetos Sandwich across the U.S. and giving fans the cheesy, crispy crunch that they’ll love," the release said.

KFC tested the sandwich earlier this year in selected restaurants at locations in Georgia, North Carolina and Virginia.
The fast-food restaurant used the occasion to introduce Cheetos mascot Chester Cheetah as "the newest Colonel," complete with a new 'doo, goatee and white suit coat.

The Cheetos Sandwich isn't the first time KFC has sold unusual items for limited periods of time. About a year ago, the company released a "very limited amount" of Pickle Fried Chicken to the public.
