New 'Infinity War' TV Spot Features Captain America and Bucky Reunion

A real bro moment.

In a matter of weeks, the Avengers: Infinity War premiere will very likely break box office records. To continue the hype for the movie, Marvel Studios released a new trailer with a couple of never-before-seen moments including a reuniting of two heroes.

The film studio tweeted the latest TV spot on Saturday. Included in the new trailer is the first reunion of Captain America and Bucky since the events of Captain America: Civil War. The trailer also prominently features the Black Panther himself, T’Challa, as he commands the Wakanda tribes as they’re about to face off against Thanos who is shown having almost all of the Infinity Stones.

At the end of Captain America: Civil War, T’Challa took Bucky to Wakanda to put the Winter Soldier in a cryogenic sleep, hoping to find a cure for the brainwashing Hydra did to him while Cap goes to save the rest of the Avengers. In the post-credit scene of Black Panther, Bucky awakens from his sleep and begins his recuperation with Shuri.

Speaking of Black Panther, T’Challa yells “Yibambe!” to his troops, which they repeat back throughout the trailer. Yibambe is Xhosa, the real African language spoken by the Wakandans in the movie. It means “hold fast.” The trailer also shows Wakanda’s king getting an earful from Okoye, the leader of his Dora Milaje regiment, who thought opening up Wakanda to the world would mean maybe them hosting the Olympics or a new Starbucks.

Avengers: Infinity War will be released on April 27. The film already broke pre-sale records and is expected to bring in $175 million to $200 million at the box office when it opens.

Marvel Studios’ marketing machine picked up the pace in the past week with the release of a new set of Infinity War posters, which featured the athletic posterior of Captain America.
