'Jersey Shore' star Ronnie Ortiz-Magro files domestic battery report against ex-girlfriend

The New Year brought the same old drama to Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Jen Harley's on-again-off-again relationship.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department confirmed to USA TODAY that Ortiz-Magro, 33, had filed a domestic battery violence report against Harley, with whom he shares a 9-month-old daughter, Ariana Sky.

"On Jan. 3, 2019, a man came to an LVMPD substation to file a Battery Domestic Violence report against his girlfriend," Officer Aden OcampoGomez said in a statement. He added, "According to the man, the alleged battery occurred on December 31, 2018, at approximately 11:43 p.m. inside of a business located on the 6000 block of Dean Martin Drive."

That address matches up with the location of the Hustler Club, where People and TMZ reported that the fight began when Harley allegedly threw an ashtray at Ortiz-Magro.

On Thursday, The LVMPD confirmed to the Asbury Park Press that they had received a call from the couple's home at 2:15 a.m. PST on New Year's Day. However, that incident report had painted Harley as the victim, not Ortiz-Magro.

"Upon arrival, officers learned that the victim (Jen) had an argument with her boyfriend (Ortiz-Magro) at a club prior to her getting home," according to a spokesperson for the Las Vegas police via email to Asbury Park Press.

"Officers observed that several items in the home were damaged including a television and picture frames. Officers could not locate any forced entry and it is unknown if the victim’s boyfriend is the suspect. This case remains under investigation."

USA TODAY has reached out to the Clark County District Attorney's Office for comment on whether charges will be filed against either of them.

Ortiz-Magro's management has not responded to request for comment on the New Year's Eve incident.

However, in the days since the fight, Ortiz-Magro deleted all references to Harley from his Instagram account.

The couple's New Year's brawl was not their first fight to result in police intervention.

In June, Ronnie got caught, outside, in the seat belt of the car driven by Harley with their child inside in Las Vegas. He was dragged and suffered a rash and a bruised face.

Harley was arrested but the case was “denied due to insufficient evidence,” said the Clark County district attorney at the time.

Ortiz-Magro and Harley are not the only cast members from "Jersey Shore" and Jersey Shore Family Vacation” to call the police or have the police called on them lately.

On Dec. 13, the Toms River Police Department was called to the home of Jennifer “JWoww” Farley and estranged husband Roger Mathews. Farley requested a temporary restraining order against Mathews after the police’s second visit to the house. She filed for divorce in September.

Farley's ex, 32-year-old Thomas Lippolis, was charged with third-degree extortion last month after he asked her publicist for $25,000 in exchange for silence, according to the Toms River Police Department.

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino will begin his eight-month sentence for tax evasion on Jan. 15.
