Rumors of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's U.S. tour first started in July. In October, after Meghan's pregnancy was announced, TMZ reported that the spring 2019 trip would be pushed back a couple of months. Now, Vanity Fair's royal correspondent Katie Nicholl has an update: the tour is very much on and definitely happening in fall 2019. And the baby is coming too: A source close to Meghan told Nicholl that she and Harry are "keen" to visit the the U.S. and Canada "as a family."

Nicholl reports that courtiers are in the early stages of planning the tour of both North American countries for autumn. When exactly in the fall it will be is dependent on the Duchess of Sussex's due date, Nicholl noted, which has been kept private. Meghan is planning to take a shorter maternity leave than royals typically do (Kate Middleton takes six months) because of the trip.

She's also planning on working “right up to her due date” because she feels “fit and well and wants to continue working as long as possible,” a source told Nicholl.

While Meghan reportedly took her own solo trip back to the U.S. and Canada after her wedding in August, it will be her and Harry's first time going over there together as a married, royal couple (at least publicly). The cities they're visiting haven't been confirmed, but when Us Weekly initially broke the news that the two were planning the tour, a palace insider told the outlet that "they are thinking [about visiting] New York, Washington, D.C., and California. They’re working to finalize locations and venues."
