As someone who doesn't really wake up until about 10 a.m. when I've had my coffee, I'm eternally impressed by anyone who can wake up and hit the gym before going about their day. Former news anchor Katie Couric is clearly part of the a.m. workout squad, and her hard work in the gym has given the 61-year-old journalist some insane results.

Couric posted two videos to her Instagram story Tuesday morning that give a peek into her morning workout. In the first, she's performing reverse lunges while gripping a bar to maintain balance, an excellent workout for her hamstrings and glutes. "I'm not gonna lie my muscles look pretty 💪🏻! 😊" she wrote on the post. They sure do!

In the second video, Couric uses a cable machine, pulling it over her head while in a half-lunge position to fully extend her arms, and repeating the movement to tone her arms and back. "This is for @JVN who said I need to post my workouts! 😍" she captioned this video, tagging her friend Jonathan Van Ness, star of the Netflix show Queer Eye. We're mentally thanking him-more workouts videos, please, Katie!

While Couric may look like a total fitness pro in these Instagram videos, she's just like any of us-sometimes, you need someone to give you a little push. For her, that's trainer Larysa Didio, who is also Prevention's contributing fitness editor. "I just started with a trainer because I'm not particularly disciplined," she told The Cut in 2017. "If someone shows up at my apartment, I don’t really have a choice. So I’ll go downstairs, run on the treadmill and exercise for an hour. I’m doing a lot of weight-bearing exercises, stretching, and trying to get in better shape overall."

Her hard work is paying off; at 61, Couric looks at least 10 years younger. So take notes-I know I am-because Couric is proof that there's no age limit on being fit!
