Seton Hall president Joseph Nyre resigns, in a surprise move

In a surprising move, Seton Hall University President Joseph Nyre is resigning, effectively stepping down a year before his five-year term at the helm was due to end, in the summer of 2024. The announcement was made in a message sent to the university community early Monday morning: "I have informed the Board of Regents that I will be taking a sabbatical during the upcoming year and then plan to relinquish my position as president," Nyre wrote. Toms River NJ dancer from First Class Dance Academy dies unexpectedly

🔒 Alex Lopez is remembered as a "charismatic firecracker," once winning local and national competitions with the First Class Dance Academy in Brick. He died unexpectedly last week at 22. Lopez of Toms River was "easily able to make everybody laugh," said Alexandra Petrizzo, a dance coach at the academy where Lopez danced. READ MORE

Two motorcycle riders killed in Marlboro NJ crash

A crash that involved five vehicles killed two motorcycle riders in the township late Monday night, authorities said. READ MORE
