Applause, cheers for rescue teams leaving Turkey

STORY: People applauded and embraced members of a South Korean rescue team in Adana on Saturday (February 18) who also held a moment of silence for the memory of those killed, video from South Korea's embassy in Turkey showed.

There were similar scenes at airports in Adana and Adiyaman for rescue teams from France, India and Taiwan.

The combined death toll in Turkey and Syria stands at more than 46,000 people, but that figure is expected to rise with some 345,000 apartments known to be destroyed in Turkey and many people still missing.
