Applause: Local students are bright, hard-working and respectful

I just want the community to know the kids are all right.

I manage Ernie's bike shop in North Canton and drive a school bus part-time for North Canton City Schools. I have had the pleasure of hiring students at the shop, where they worked while attending school. I have been watching them grow and go off to work in the world, go to college or attend trade schools. They are all hard-working, bright and caring.

As a substitute bus driver, I am always impressed by the students − especially the high school students − always saying "thank you" and "we appreciate you driving us today."

The kids today are brighter, more informed and more caring than ever. As adults, we need to be all right for our kids.
