Apple’s AirPods Pro Are On Sale For Under $200
Once again, Amazon has dropped the price of one of the best pairs of wireless headphones we’ve tested. Apple’s AirPods Pro are now $199, $50 down from the usual $250.
In our review of these buds, we were impressed with their new noise-cancellation technology, which rivaled even over-ear headphones—like the Bose 700—amid the ample background noise on a cross-country light. The original AirPods had an open-ear design—which didn’t fit in many people’s ears and allowed a lot of surrounding noise in. Those who previously took issue with the AirPods’ fit will be pleased to know that Apple now offers three silicone ear tip sizes, so they can better seal your ear canal for when you don’t want to hear traffic or chatting coworkers.
While the Active Noise Cancellation can limit outside sound, the Pros are also equipped with a Transparency mode that allows some ambient noise in. Though the AirPods can’t beat the battery life of over-ear headphones, they still boast five hours of playback on a single charge, with an extra 24 in the charging case.
If you were skeptical before about spending extra money for noise-canceling tech and an improved fit compared to the regular AirPods, now is perhaps one of the best times to take the plunge and invest in the Pro model.
