After completing a shift, the security guard told police that the golf cart was parked in its designated area but it was discovered to be missing when a coworker arrived later.

During their investigation, police discovered surveillance video that showed a man driving off in the golf cart.

“Unbeknownst to the suspect, the golf cart had an Apple Airtag attached to it,” the Police Department said.

Officers managed to track the AirTag to the area of North Meridian Avenue and West San Bernardino Avenue in the City of Colton where they recovered the stolen golf cart.

They also located a man who matched the description of the thief observed in the video footage.

The suspect, later identified as Bradley Dronin, 44, of Rialto, was arrested and booked on suspicion of possessing a vehicle known to be stolen and taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent, the Police Department stated.
