Apple (AAPL) earnings are expected at 4:30 pm ET Thursday, February 2nd, 2023. Apple CEO Tim Cook is set to take center stage on the earnings call. Investors will be watching closely for key items including iPhones, fallout from ongoing lockdowns in China, mounting layoffs in the tech industry and beyond and questions about the state of the U.S. economy overall. BRIAN SOZZI: Brian Sozzi here with Brad Smith, and we're getting ready for our "After the Call" on Apple earnings, which hit on Thursday after the close. One big number I'm watching is the stock price. Apple stock is up 11% year-to-date on a lot of hope and optimism. Brad, what you watching?
BRAD SMITH: I'm watching services. I'm watching where those iPhone shipments are actually netting out. So keep a close eye on everything between those products and services, but specifically on that iPhone, because it makes up the lion's share of that Apple revenue base.
BRIAN SOZZI: Are you excited to hear Tim Cook's voice?
BRAD SMITH: Always.
BRIAN SOZZI: Always.
BRAD SMITH: Just so soothing.
BRIAN SOZZI: It really is. Me too.
BRAD SMITH: It's like butter on a croissant.
BRIAN SOZZI: That is a perfect way to put it. All right, "After the Call," Yahoo Finance, check it out on our homepage. We'll be live right after that Apple earnings call ends a little after 6 o'clock. We'll also be live on YouTube. Watch it, bookmark it, you name it.
