Apple Just Launched Apple News+ (And GQ is On It)

Today Tim Cook strolled onto the Steve Jobs Auditorium stage in Cupertino and launched a whole slew of new services, including a TV streaming service meant to compete with Netflix, a titanium Apple credit card, and something very relevant to GQ: Apple News+, featuring access to hundreds of magazines for one subscription.

Apple News+ (which launches today) will include access to more than 300 magazines—plus the Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, and digital-only publications like The Skimm—for $9.99 a month. And damn straight you’ll find GQ the magazine on Apple News+, along with a bunch of our brother and sister magazines, including Vogue, Wired, and The New Yorker. You’ll find some exciting upgrades when you check out GQ in Apple News+ on your iPhone or iPad. Our April issue's J.Cole cover, for instance, has a little extra flair you won't find elsewhere.

Speaking of flair, shout-out to Apple designer Wyatt Mitchell for breaking free of the company's half-zip-and-some-khakis dress code in order to get a fit off on-stage.

The cream-colored boiler suit paired with Off White x Converse All-Stars may forever reign as the most stylish moment we've yet seen—and every will—at an Apple event.

But getting back to Apple News+: It's a big deal not just because GQ is there, but because it's, well, big. “Apple News is the number one news app!” shouted Tim Cook like a proud dad, and mentioned that over 5 billion stories are read on the platform every month. Find it—and GQ—everywhere you have a pocket with a phone inside.
