Apple is currently taking preorders for a trio of new smartwatches that were announced alongside the iPhone 14 lineup and a new pair of AirPods Pro this week. With three new Apple Watch models, there’s sure to be a watch for everyone.

The new Apple Watch SE, for example, is an affordable option for kids or those who aren’t sure about using a smartwatch. The Apple Watch Series 8 now has a temperature sensor that’s used to track women’s reproductive health, and the Apple Watch Ultra is the biggest and toughest watch Apple has ever made—ideal for adventurers and those who spend a lot of time outdoors.

Apple Watch SE

Apple updated the Apple Watch SE, the company’s entry-level wearable. The second-gen Apple Watch SE is now more affordable with Apple dropping the price from $279 to $249 for the Wi-Fi-only 40mm model, while the cellular version goes from $299 to $329 for the same size. If you want the 44mm version, expect to pay $279 and $329, respectively.

The biggest changes to the new Watch SE are all internal. The watch uses the same processor as the Series 8 and Ultra. That not only boosts the overall performance of the Watch SE, but it means that Apple will continue to support it with software updates for years to come. Out of the box, the Watch SE can detect car crashes and call for help if you’re unresponsive.

The Apple Watch SE comes in starlight, silver or midnight. It’s available to order right now, with deliveries slated to start on Sept. 16.

Apple Watch Series 8

The Apple Watch Series 8 looks a lot like last year’s Series 7, but has one important new feature—a temperature sensor. More specifically, the Series 8 will monitor your skin’s temperature while you sleep and record it in the Apple Health app.

For women, that information can then be used to track reproductive health, including retrospective ovulation estimates; all of which is securely stored on your iPhone and Apple Watch.

The Apple Watch Series 8 uses the S8 processor, boasts all-day battery life, is fast charging and continues to include health-focused features such as an ECG app, Blood Oxygen measurements and the new car crash detection feature that’s making its debut on all Apple Watch models this year.

You can get the Apple Watch Series 8 with an aluminum body in midnight, starlight, silver or Product Red. Apple is taking orders now, with deliveries starting Friday, Sept. 16.

The Apple Watch Series 8 comes in two sizes, 41mm and 45mm, with prices starting at $399 and $429, respectively.

Apple Watch Ultra

The newest Apple Watch is Apple’s largest and most durable wearable yet. The Apple Watch Ultra also has a brand new design that’s something you’re going to love or hate—there’s no middle road here.

The Ultra has a 49mm display that sits inside a titanium case. On the left side of the watch is a customizable Action button that you can program for specific tasks, such as tracking a workout or using the new GPS tracking features. The display has a total brightness of 2000 nits, making it easier to see in direct sunlight.

The Ultra is primarily designed for endurance athletes who need GPS features such as route tracking and backtracking to ensure they get back safely. The Ultra has L1 and L5 GPS to improve accuracy, regardless of your surroundings.

The Apple Watch Ultra can act as a dive watch for underwater activities, and even has a built-in depth gauge app to help during dives.

The Apple Watch Ultra only has a single, titanium color option, but you can pick from various colors for one of the three new watch bands Apple designed specifically for the Ultra.

Every Apple Watch Ultra comes with Wi-Fi and Cellular connectivity and is priced at $799. As with the rest of the 2022 Apple Watch lineup, Apple is currently taking orders for the Ultra. However, deliveries will start on Friday, Sept. 23.
