Application fees waived for many NC colleges this week

Colleges and universities across North Carolina are joining an effort to help high school seniors by waiving application fees this week.

According to the College Foundation of North Carolina, you can apply to many North Carolina colleges and universities for free until Oct. 21.

It’s part of the Countdown to College initiative, which is also focusing on helping prospective students determine their residency and complete the FAFSA to get financial aid. Application fees for universities can range in price, but applying to multiple schools could cost students hundreds of dollars.
